To get the most out of your instrument, we've curated a list of 7 tips below that will help you ensure your DustTrak? aerosol monitor is always in tip-top shape and will help prolong the runtime between service intervals.

Tip 1/ Manual
Be sure to use the DustTrak? Aerosol Monitor as described in the manual.
Tip 2/CCleaning and Calibration
Return the instrument to the factory once a year for cleaning and calibration for optimal performance.
Tip 3/Zero Check
Perform a zero check before each use. Check. For continuous monitoring, consider using an auto-zero module during sampling to reset any drift that occurs due to changes in temperature, relative humidity, or aerosol deposition (due to inertial/gravitational/diffusive deposition) in the optical chamber. any drift that occurs.
Tip 4/Impactors
Remember to clean allDustTrak II Impingement Particle Sizers before each use ( PM1/PM2.5/PM4.0/PM10), add Impact Particle Size Cutter Oil, and clean the Dorr-Oliver 10 mm nylon cyclone to ensure proper operation. Refer to the DustTrak manual for inlet regulator use and cleaning procedures.
Tip 5/Batteries
The instrument needs to be left unused for a long period of time (
>30 days) please charge and remove the the battery.Tip 6/HEPA Filter

Tip 7/Inlet Tubing
